GIFTED RESOURCE TEACHER

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for gifted resource teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2025 – 2026 school year.

 

Please note this is a "continuous recruit posting" to build an applicant pool for all schools.  As positions become available, all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered.  Should a specific location/job be posted, you may also be required to apply to that posting.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Gifted Resource teacher serves students throughout the division and coordinates the identification and placement of gifted students; provides support for the classroom teacher in development and delivery of differentiated curriculum; and works directly with gifted students.  The Gifted Resource teacher uses a collaborative model in working with the principals and teachers to provide services to the students and is a member of a cadre of teachers who conduct staff development sessions on gifted identification, curriculum, and instruction at the school and division levels.

FLSA: Exempt

 

SALARY:  $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (current salary scale may change due to 2025-2026 budget considerations)
