Do you have a passion for teaching? The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for dual language immersion elementary classroom teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2025 – 2026 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To develop and implement a bilingual instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. All classroom instruction will be conducted in Spanish. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach at the elementary school level
• Demonstrate bilingual and bi-literate skills in Spanish 
• Pass an assessment to demonstrate bilingual and bi-literate capabilities 
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a dual language classroom or teaching in Spanish
• Hold a master’s degree in Education 

 

SALARY:  $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually; with benefits  (salary may change due to 2025-2026 budget considerations)

 

FLSA Status:  Non-exempt
