Montgomery County Public Schools is accepting applications for a part-time lunch and recess aide position that is available at Margaret Beeks Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The lunch and recess aide maintains order among children, assists in the directing of the students to and from the cafeteria, performs general housekeeping in the cafeteria, and assists cafeteria staff with any other necessary duties. During recess, the aide actively supervises students on the playground and ensures they are safe and following playground expectations while playing. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and co-workers
• Have previous experience working with children
• Dependability and punctuality required

FLSA:            Non-Exempt

 

SALARY:  $15.00 - $27.51 per hour, depending on experience

 

Hours: Not to exceed 5.5 hours per day
