Carpentry Teacher - BHS

The Montgomery County School Board, Virginia, is now accepting applications for a Carpentry teacher position that is available at Blacksburg High School for the 2024-2025 school year   

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach Carpentry, Building Trades, or Cabinet Making
• Experience or training in Carpentry, Building Trades, or Cabinet Making
• Have strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students and parents
• Ability to be dependable and punctual

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous teaching experience
• Class A Contractors License

Salary:  2024-2025 Teachers’ Salary Scale with benefits (salary scale may change due to 2024-2025 budget considerations)

 

FLSA: Exempt
