Paraprofessional - Instructional Eastern Montgomary Elementary

The Montgomery County School Board, Virginia is now accepting applications for a Classroom Instructional Paraprofessional position that is available at Eastern Montgomery Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.
Primary Responsibilities: The Instructional Paraprofessional assists teachers in presenting and reinforcing instructional objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill level expected of the class.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of an associate degree or 48 semester hours of college or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment Exam
- Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn to operate and maintain a wide variety of instructional equipment
- Candidates should possess excellent reading, writing, and computation skills
- Demonstrated personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
- Have experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold or be eligible to hold a teaching certificate with endorsement to teach at the elementary level
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
SALARY: $22,366.80 - $37,721.69 annually; with benefits; commensurate with experience
