Do you have a passion for supporting teachers, helping them to use data to guide instruction, and supporting them with the latest technology to increase engagement? 

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is accepting applications for an Instructional Technology/Data Analysis Resource Teacher (IT/DART) for the 2024-2025 school year.  The IT/DART works with administrators, teachers, and other school staff to provide coaching support in the area of analyzing, interpreting, and disaggregating data.  The IT/DART also works with teachers to develop, refine, and demonstrate evidenced-based lessons correlated to the SOLs that are enhanced by instructional technology. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a resource to principals and classroom teachers in the area of data analysis and interpretation for instructional and school improvement purposes
    • Analyze school and grade level data trends
    • Support PLC/data meetings with administrators and teachers as they analyze and make data driven decisions to impact student achievement
    • Build capacity in teachers and teams to locate and analyze data to help inform instruction (e.g., Performance Matters and other data repositories)
    • Support continuous improvement by assisting with data analytics to determine instructional strategies and structures to address student needs
  • Support teachers with the integration of technology resources, emerging technologies and best practices to enhance teaching and learning
    • Model effective instructional strategies using technology
    • Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and delivery
    • Create and deliver instructional technology focused learning resources and professional development for teachers and staff
    • Participate in school level technology planning and recommend appropriate hardware and software resources
    • Collaborate with school personnel and administrators to support the implementation of both division level and school level technology and data initiatives
    • Work in conjunction with community organizations such as law enforcement to provide Internet Safety resources
    • Participate in professional learning opportunities to stay up to date with ever changing advancements in instructional technology

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a valid Virginia teaching license
  • Have five years teaching experience
  • Have experience effectively co-teaching and/or collaborating with peers
  • Have experience effectively analyzing data and using that analysis to guide instructional decisions
  • Have experience and expertise in using technology in education to provide instruction
  • Have experience working with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
  • Have experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
  • Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the procedures and practices of technology programs in K-12 education

PREFERENCE GIVEN FOR CANDIDATES WHO POSSESS:

  • Master’s degree
  • Previous experience with using the interpretation of classroom data to inform instruction
  • Technical knowledge and expertise

 

SALARY:  $52,575.88 - $86,938.00 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience

 

FLSA Status:  Exempt
