The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a speech/language pathologist assistant position available within our division for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language, Speech Pathology, or Communications Disorder

A professional understanding of speech/language disorders
-
A thorough knowledge and ability to administer appropriate speech/language tests and support materials

Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
-
Experience with technology

Ability to be dependable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with students with disabilities in preschool through high school
- Experience in delivering speech therapy services within an inclusive environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers screening protocols
- Transports students to/from testing or therapy area
- Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist
- Communicates with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students
- Manages behavior using appropriately designed management techniques
- Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions
Salary: $31,017.72 - $55,876.06 annually
