Middle School Summer Academy Teacher

MCPS is seeking applicants for Middle School Summer Academy teaching positions.  This posting is for external applicants only. Current MCPS employees do not need to apply.  To be considered for a position, substitute teachers must hold a current Virginia Teaching License.  For student teachers to be considered for a position, you must provide a letter of program completion from your institution of higher education.  Placement will be determined by student need.

Salary:  $40.00 per hour

Closing Date: Open until filled. 

Locations: Middle School Summer Academies will be held at each MCPS Middle School. 

Dates and Times:

May 28 - July 3 (Monday – Thursday)

Student Hours:  8:00 AM – 2:10 PM

Teacher Hours:  7:45 AM – 2:45 PM

*Teachers will get a “work day” to set up their rooms and plan for summer academy.
